Week 2 - Day 3
SHOULDERS & ARMS / AB RIPPER X
I can't believe that it has already been ten days!!! I remember when I was sitting here waiting for P90x to come and the days didn't go by fast enough, now they are flying by!!!
I feel like I have made great improvements with the videos even though I am only on the second time doing most of them except Ab Ripper. I remember when I did a couple of the videos and thought to myself that I would never be able to keep up with the gang but now I can. It is really amazing how much strength you gain in such a short period of time on this program. I cannot wait to see where I am at Day 90!! I also can't wait to see what P90x+ is going to do to my body after P90x is over!!! It is so exciting for me to make a commitment to something and actually stick with it!!
Ok as for my workout today, I need to get heavier weights because I am definitely getting stronger and I am not very excited about manipulating the bands. In case I need to travel I will keep the bands for that but I like to have free weights for the exercises. One of the major changes I saw in doing the Shoulders & Arms video is at the end where we do Side, Tri, Rise...I could do maybe 2 and 4 if I pushed super hard the first time around, but this week I did 11 on one side and 12 on the other!!! I was so proud!! I thought that was ridiculous since I had only done this video once before. It just shows you how all your muscles work together to make you stronger and not just the ones you are working that particular day.
The first time doing Ab Ripper X I could barely do any of the exercises well, and today I did all of them!!! I needed to rest on some of the more difficult ones but I probably did 300 out of the 330-some reps there are!!! I am extremely happy with my strength gains, I can't wait to see my visible gains soon!!!
